A fully equipped media centre would be provided. The Belthorn Community Centre, within
the Turfhall Sports Complex, will be converted to the media centre. The facility will
be divided into a working area and conference/interview area. Media hospitality
staff will be on hand to see to the needs of all media personnel.

Is there a hotel recommended for journalists, and, if so, what is the proximity to the fields?
Yes. JWWC 2011 have an accommodation arrangement with the Holiday Inn – Waterfront
. The hotel is approximately 10km from Turfhall Sport Complex.

Will there be broadband or Wi-Fi available in the press box?
Yes. The Turfhall Sport Complex will be a secure WAP environment. A WAP access code and password will be provided with your accreditation card. Dedicated, high-speed ISDN facilities will be available in the JWWC Media Centre.
Will your staff file reports on each game?
Yes. Each competition field will be serviced by two correspondents.
Will those be on a web site or will you send them by email?
Yes. The JWWC website will have a LIVE SCORE UPDATE PORTAL. Each game will be “broadcast” in text format via the website. Each update will be an innings – to – innings description (approximately every 7 – 10 min periodic updates).
Will the game statistics be available?
The official scoring statistics of each game will be available at your hotel and media centre at the end of each competition day – 8 games per day during the Pool stages.
If I'm in the media centre, would I be able to view games?
Commentated games from the main field can be viewed in real-time on strategically placed plasma screens within the competition precinct. These audio – visuals are not available for commercial broadcasting.
